Financial Planning Process

At Everest Wealth Advisors, we are eager to connect with new clients. That being said, we understand that finances can be overwhelming. As we’ve mentioned before, our mission is to make you feel at home. That is why we have taken the time to describe the general experience of a new client, and what they can expect from us during and after our initial meetings. That way, you can walk into our office feeling familiar with Everest, our team, and the path we will take on your first steps toward financial freedom.

Phase 1: Engagement and Data Collection

In your first meeting, we will explain how our planning process works and also share our philosophy on the financial world. Most importantly, we will take the time to more clearly define the goals that you, your family, or your small business would like to achieve during your lifetime.  It is this list of goals that will guide the rest of your planning process.

  1. Prior to our meeting, we will ask you to fill out our Client Contact form: View Form
  2. We will review data from your current investment statements and create a clear starting point that assesses where you are now and where you’d like to be in the future.
  3. We will define your short and long-term goals to design a plan that tackles them both.

Estimated time frame: 1-2 weeks. Estimated # of meetings: 1

Phase 2: Strategy

During your meeting, we will examine your current path and the goals you laid out for us.  This will serve as our basis of comparison as we measure the effectiveness of other potential financial strategies. We will:

  • Analyze and evaluate current financial status
  • Presenting a customized investment analysis
  • Define the scope of the relationship going forward, based upon findings during investment review
  • Outline initial guidance specific to your personal situation regarding investments, financial planning, insurance, etc.

Estimated time frame: 1-2 weeks. Estimated # of meetings: 1-2

Phase 3: Implementation

After gathering the details, we will design a plan of action that is best suited for accomplishing the unique goals you’ve laid out for us. We will:

  • Take action on recommendations, based on strategy session outcome
  • Begin asset transition phase, if necessary
  • eSigning account opening documents
  • Work with 3rd party transfer agents, ensuring accounts successfully transition in a timely manner
  • We provide weekly status updates via email while assets and accounts are being transitioned

Phase 4: Monitor and Review

As your plan progresses, our advisors will review it annually and adjust the course as needed. If you feel you need assistance more often, our advisors are available to check in as frequently as necessary to help you feel secure. We will:

  • Consistently monitor of all accounts and recommendations, staying focused and on path to achieve your goals
  • Review sessions (annual or bi-annual meetings)
  • Routine account maintenance
